Troops of the 53rd (Welsh) Division

Troops of the 53rd (Welsh) Division advance eastwards from the Rhine bridgehead in the relative security of a Kangaroo armoured personnel carrier provided by 79th Armoured Division. The carriers were modified Canadian built RAM tanks with turrets and associated equipment removed, allowing 11 fully laden troops to be carried. It had a crew of two men.
