Two of the HMS Campbletowns four funnels were removed and blanked off whilst the two forward stacks were modified to help give the outline of a German Mowe class destroyer. These funnels were shortened and cut off at an angle with the front stack enlarged to give it greater lift. The picture shows the details of these modifications and two of the eight Oerlikon guns that were added to her armament.
