Wounded Canadians

Wounded Canadians being landed from a British destroyer after the raid. Casualty evacuation was a difficult operation as all the landing craft going to and from the beaches were under continual enemy fire. Many of the wounded who were safely put into the craft for evacuation were killed later during the passage out to the warships when these craft were sunk.
