A formidable German Panzer VI (Tiger) tank knocked out by the Canadians near Caltagirone along Highway 124. The 60-tonTiger was more than a match for any Allied tank, but in the early years of its development it was slow moving and unreliable, suffering as many losses from breakdowns as from Allied action.
