Moroccan Goumier cavalry in Italy 1944

Goumier mounted cavalry on their Arab horses, setting out on a reconnaissance patrol. The troops are from 2nd Goum, 2nd Moroccan Division. The picture was taken in the foothills of the Aurunci Mountanis after Gen Juin's French Expeditionary Corps had moved across to the Garigliano sector.
