Genersal Montgomery tours the British beachhead on the day after the assault landings. Monty is riding in Maj Gen Wimberley's personal DUKW as his own transport was late arriving and was yet to be unloaded. British 51st Highland Divisions formation sign, a prominent combined 'HD' can be seen on the front of the vehicle near the drivers position.
