Douglas Boston aircraft Operation Jubilee

Douglas Boston aircraft of the RAF completes a bombing run during Operation Jubilee. Smoke can be seen rising from Dieppe in the background. These light bombers made many sorties during the raid the first of which were attacks against German artillery baterries. They were later involved with laying and maintaining a smoke screen to help cover the withdrawal of troops from the beaches.
