Frobisher was one of the many cruisers which during the week before June 6, when the Allied Expeditionary Forces sailed for France, bombarded enemy coastal positions. This phot was taken during the bombardment. This picture showsd glider borne troops crossing the Channel above ships of the Royal Navy. In the background are the battleships Warspite and Ramillies.
