The image shows a full-length depiction of a smiling British infantryman marching right to left, with his rifle shouldered and smoking a pipe. He has a small French Tricolore pinned to his chest and the text reads COME ALONG, BOYS!  'The moment the order came to go forward, there were smiling faces everywhere.'
