Overview of Juno Beach. The growing wave of soldiers from the Canadian infantry is disembarking from several LCT stranded at low tide on the afternoon of June 6. A failed ACL No. 519 (listed in the losses of the Royal Navy during the Normandy landings on 6/6/44), the wrecks of tanks and beach obstacles were removed and collected. The men are walking on a carpet of wooden slats held on the sand to facilitate traffic. Right is Mk3 LCT No. 474 of 11th LCT Flotilla, Squadron N force J2.
