A Universal Carrier of 'A' Company, 11th Battalion, The Durham Light Infantry, 70th Infantry Brigade, 49th (West Riding) Division evacuates a casualty to No.3 Casualty Clearing Station on 27 June 1944.

Behind is Panther Ausf.A number 204 (commander probably SS-Uscha. S¸sse, wounded, survived) of 2. Kompanie (commander SS-Ostuf. Helmut Gaede), SS-Pz.-Rgt.12, 12 SS-Pz.Div. (Hitlerjugend), destroyed on 26 June 1944 at the crossroads of D173 from Cheux (to the back of the photographer) to Tessel (ahead) and D139 from Fontenay-le-Pesnel (to the right) to Rauray (left) by tanks of 'A' Squadron, Nottinghamshire Yeomanry (Sherwood Rangers).
