The parish church and stone tower of Goch suffered from the ALlied bombardment during the capture of the town. The tower had been standing since the 14th century but this did not escape its being plastered with a Hitler Youth sign on each side of its walls. This picture was taken on 3 March just a few days after the town's capture by the Scottish and Highland Divisions
