Among the very few color pictures of the landing taken by the Signal Corps team composed of Ardean Miller and Steve Stevens. These men were the only official photographers using color in Europe and the majority of their records disappeared after the war, following the death of Stevens in a plane crash.The beach is believed to be Utah. The on the right wearing jump boots, wears the shoulder insignia of the Engineer Special Brigade (1st ESB). The man in the back with a blue paint on his helmet is also attached to the 1st ESB, who were operating on Utah Beach.
