Zoom Image

Before a gathering of civilians in a shopping street, two members of the WAC (Women's Army Corps) a woman and a French officer read a map. The officer is in full dress, as you can see from his polished boots and breeches. The WAC on the right is a Cpl. and she wears the patch of the Army Service Forces (ASF former SOS). The one on the left is a Staff Sergeant. The photo was taken at the corner of Norvins St Rustic and Willow on the Butte Montmartre in Paris. The restaurant at the bottom of the picture was called 'The Consulate of Auvergne" and today is called " The Consulate " at 18 Rue Norvins.
