Lt General Norrie, Commander British XXX Corps (left) studies a map with his ADC. The fact that the armour of XXX Corps did not perform well during the Gazala battles was not solely a result of the inferiority of its tanks, the perfromance of Norrie's subordinate commanders were also much to blame.
