One of the key factors in any military campaign is terrain, and one of the key methods for analysing terrain is good quality mapping. Our map room contains a selection of period mapping to help your exploration or military research. This includes original archive material Geographical Section General Staff (GSGS) maps dated from the 1940s and defence overprints (original mapping with suspected enemy defences overlayed). The GSGS mapping is also invaluable if you are tracing your family's military history. War diaries will detail unit movement using grid references from this set of maps.
In order to keep costs low all our maps are supplied as instant JPG downloads (in their orginal size). if you would like your images in a different format please contact us by using any of the methods detailed on the contact page and we would be happy to discuss your requirements.
All of our maps are in the public domain and we charge NO LICENSING FEE for their subsequent use. That means once you have bought them you can do whatever you like with them and owe us nothing further. Please check out our copyright information by clicking this link Copyright
