American equipment as far as the eye can see, these trucks, DUKWs, bull-dozers, and jeeps aid troops in establishing the beachhead won in the initial assault. Telephone poles and lines, strung by Signal Corps men, establish communications between the forward moving troops and the beachhead. Taken 9 June 1944
